Novasol Chemicals, backed by Hivest Capital Partners, strengthens its presence in the Middle East and its life sciences specialties business with the acquisition of ATS (Advanced Technology Supplies)

Novasol Chemicals (“Novasol”), a global distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients backed by Hivest Capital Partners, announces the completion of the acquisition of a majority stake in A.T.S. Advanced Technology Supplies (“ATS”), a leading Istanbul-based distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients. The seller retains a minority stake in ATS, ensuring continuity for the company, its teams, its customers and its partners. Emel Babacan Gürbıyık, General Manager of ATS for the past 14 years, will continue to lead the ATS teams with Novasol’s support.

Active since 1987 and based in Turkey, ATS generates revenue of approximately €25 million and employs around twenty five people. Organized around four divisions (food, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, animal nutrition, industrial chemicals), the company serves a broad customer base and relies on strong partnerships with leading international producers, for many of whom it is the preferred distributor in Turkey. Beyond distribution, ATS stands out for its recognized technical and regulatory expertise (application advice, regulatory support, product qualification), which makes it a partner of reference for manufacturers.

This transaction strengthens Novasol’s international growth. The Middle East, one of the most dynamic specialty chemicals distribution markets in the region, complements the Group’s coverage in Europe, Asia and North America, and further diversifies its global positioning. ATS’s technical and regulatory expertise strengthens Novasol’s capabilities in life sciences and adds a new business segment to its portfolio. Combining ATS’s in-depth knowledge of the local market with Novasol’s global footprint opens up significant business development and cross-selling opportunities, to the benefit of all the Group’s customers and suppliers.

ATS is the first external growth transaction completed by Novasol since Hivest Capital Partners joined its share capital in December 2025. It delivers on the strategy announced at the outset of this partnership: accelerating Novasol’s international expansion by combining organic growth and targeted acquisitions, in order to strengthen the Group’s position in a chemical distribution market that remains highly fragmented.
