Hivest supports Agora Makers in a new stage of its development with the acquisition of Acrospire in the United Kingdom

Hivest Capital Partners, majority shareholder of Agora Makers, announces the group’s acquisition of Acrospire, a British company recognised in heritage and solar lighting. The transaction marks a strategic step in Agora Makers’ international development, with its first operational presence in the United Kingdom.

This acquisition is fully in line with the growth strategy pursued by Hivest alongside Agora Makers’ management, aimed at strengthening the group’s position as a leading European player in public space development through lighting, urban furniture and connected solutions.

A strategic entry into a key market

Founded in 2012 by Tim Barker and Hatty Stallard, Acrospire has established itself as a reference company in the British market through largely organic growth, recognised expertise in heritage and solar lighting, and close relationships with its customers.

Based in Basingstoke, the company designs and manufactures a large share of its lighting solutions in the United Kingdom and enjoys a strong reputation built on innovation, quality of service and technical excellence.

For Agora Makers, this acquisition not only provides access to a strategic European market, but also strengthens its exposure to English-speaking markets and broadens its expertise in high-potential segments, particularly solar lighting.

A new step in building a European leader

Since its investment in Agora Makers, Hivest has supported the group’s transformation and development to build a leading European platform dedicated to public spaces.

The integration of Acrospire reflects this ambition: bringing together companies recognised for their expertise, local roots and capacity for innovation, while preserving their identity and their proximity to their respective markets.

The complementary expertise of Agora Makers and Acrospire will open new commercial, industrial and technological development opportunities for the benefit of their customers across Europe.

A shared vision of entrepreneurial growth

This transaction is built above all on a shared set of strong values: entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, operational excellence and customer proximity. As part of this new step, Acrospire will retain its brand, its organisation and its current leadership team, continuing the momentum behind its success while benefiting from the resources and opportunities offered by Agora Makers.
